Demonstrated to reduce undereye puffiness, Eyeliss® contains three active ingredients: Hesperidin methyl chalcone, Dipeptide Valyl-Tryptophane and Lipopeptide Pal-GQPR.
A bioflavonoid with antioxidant properties, hesperidin is found in citrus fruits. It is used to address blood vessel and poor circulation issues. Hesperidin methyl chalcone improves under-eye capillary strength by reducing permeability. Ex vivo testing demonstrates that hesperidin methyl chalcone decreases capillary permeability by 25%. The ingredient is used in Eyeliss® in a concentration of 4 to 6%.
Dipeptide Valyl-Tryptophane is known for its lymphatic benefits, improving the drainage of the under-eye fluids that can cause puffiness and dark “bags.” Eyeliss® contains .08 to .12% of Valyl-Tryptophane.
Lipopeptide Pal-GQPR is a peptide used for its ability to decrease inflammation and enhance elasticity and firmness. Eyeliss® contains .025 to .035% Pal-GQPR.
Containing 72 to 82% water, Eyeliss® has been clinically proven to improve under-eye skin firmness while reducing the puffiness caused by poor circulation, high blood pressure, some medications and tiredness.
A small clinical study using a 3% concentration of Eyeliss® applied twice a day as per instructions showed notable results. After 56 days of use, eye bag thickness was reduced by as much as .69 mm. Seventy percent of study participants experienced a reduction in eye bag volume.
The International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients, or INCI, lists Aqua, Glycerin, Hesperidin Methyl Chalcone, Steareth-20, Dipeptide-2 and Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 as the contents of Eyeliss®.
